DEL FIT (Facilitators in Training) participants Ashlie Kirby and Katrina Brown are fantastic examples of what DEL facilitation training can lead to- Ashlie is co-facilitating a DEL-based professional learning workshop in California soon, and Katrina is a current doctoral student at Teachers College and a leader in dance education in the New York City charter schools.

When Katrina took our DEL FIT course, she had been teaching dance in the charter sector for a handful of years and had an idea of her teaching philosophy. She says,

DEL FIT is an intensive professional development training designed for experienced dance educators who are interested in honing facilitation skills. Over the course of three months participants learn how to design and facilitate a DEL based professional learning workshop and understand how to embody and apply DEL’s core principles and best practices.
