DEL Facilitators in Training (DEL FIT) is an intensive professional development course specifically designed for experienced dance educators who are interested in acquiring and honing facilitation skills. Participants will learn how to develop and facilitate a professional learning workshop based on the DEL model and understand how to embody and apply DEL’s core principles and best practices. The four workshop sessions include interactive learning and engagement, movement exploration, collaborative opportunities, practice facilitation, and peer feedback. DEL FIT sessions are held synchronously via zoom. Participants are also expected to engage asynchronously on the DEL learning management platform to augment their professional learning in facilitation skills and strategies. Participants also receive personal one-on-one coaching in workshop design and facilitation by DEL Institute Director, Ann Biddle and receive a copy of the DEL Facilitation Manual. DEL FIT graduates are empowered and equipped to deliver high-quality professional learning instruction and may be invited to lead or assist in a DEL workshop or course.
At the completion of the DEL FIT program participants will receive a certificate of completion.
The DEL FIT program is led by DEL Founder, Jody Arnhold, and DEL Institute Director, Ann Biddle.
This program is made possible by the generosity of the Arnhold Foundation and is offered free of charge to participants. Dance Educators interested in applying to the program should apply here by February 17, 2023.
Applications are reviewed by the DEL Leadership team. Applicants will be notified of acceptance into the program by March 1, 2023.
Those selected are required to commit to all 4 DEL FIT sessions:
March 19th, 3:00pm – 5:00pm EST
April 23rd, 3:00pm – 5:00pm EST
May 21st, 3:00pm – 5:00pm EST
June 11th, 2:00pm – 5:00pm EST (note longer session)
PRE-REQUISITE: APPLICANTS MUST HAVE TAKEN DEL FOUNDATIONS, DEL FUNDAMENTALS, OR DEL ESSENTIALS.
Priority is given to applicants who have completed the DEL Institute -Teacher Certificate Program.
