In this webinar, Introducing Sensory Approaches to Dancing with Students with Disabilities, Sandi Stratton Gonzalez explores effective strategies for working with neurodiverse children, including those with autism, ADD, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
This session will introduce you to sensory-based teaching methods designed to meet the unique access needs of each student, with a focus on honoring students’ inherent worth and individuality. You will begin by exploring the guiding principle of recognizing wholeness — the understanding that all students bring their own internal experiences, thoughts, and perceptions to the learning environment. You will learn how to create inclusive, supportive dance spaces using strategies tailored to the seven senses and gain a deeper understanding of the lived experiences of neurodiverse students. This webinar will equip you with practical instructional strategies and valuable resources to foster more inclusive and accessible dance experiences for all students.
All registrants receive access to this recorded session through June 30, 2025.
