Join us as we launch the 30th anniversary of the 92NY Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) with a special interactive workshop led by DEL Founder Jody Gottfried Arnhold and DEL Founding Faculty Ann Biddle. This inspiring session will feature one of Jody’s timeless DEL lesson plans – a sneak peek from a forthcoming book of 30 DEL lessons to be released later this year.
Designed for both longtime DEL practitioners and newcomers, the workshop will blend guided movement exploration with collaborative dance making, all grounded in the DEL Dance Framework. Participants will receive a complete lesson plan from DEL’s upcoming collection, a valuable resource for dance educators across settings, along with a commemorative Dance for Every Child DEL 30th anniversary t-shirt.
The event will also include a live talkback with Jody and Ann, offering attendees a unique opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with them both about the legacy of DEL and the future of dance education. The event concludes with a reception celebrating DEL’s 30 years of promoting inclusive and transformative dance education for all.
