Introducing our 2022-23 DEL Institute Teacher Certificate Program Cohort

We are thrilled to announce that we’ll be working with 20 professionals in our 2022-23 DEL Institute – Teacher Certificate Program!

This year’s cohort includes participants from all over the United States including New York, New Jersey, Florida, Washington, Wisconsin, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Massachusetts, and from international countries including China and Switzerland.

Participants in this year’s cohort teach across many different environments, such as private dance studios, K-12 classrooms, early childhood education, colleges and universities, community outreach programs, and even spaces that do not traditionally involve dance education, such as speech therapy and transitional housing support.

While our participants represent different locations and areas of expertise, they all share a common desire to deepen and expand their professional learning in dance education.

They are excited about opportunities to:

  • – grow as teachers and hone their craft
    – gain skills in designing curriculum
    – become more versatile teachers
    – engage students in authentic dance history
    – join a dynamic and supportive dance education network
    – collaborate and make dances
    – build life-long dance education friends

We kicked off our 2nd year of the DEL Institute Teacher Certificate Program on November 2nd with our amazing group of new participants! In our Orientation Meeting, we got to know each other, engaged in a movement exploration, introduced the DEL Faculty, and participants met their mini-pods. We had a great time!

It is deeply inspiring to engage with a wide range of dance educators who are passionate about making a positive impact in the field! We can’t wait to share more about this incredible cohort! Stay tuned to hear more from this inspiring group!
