Join us at 92NY for a joyful celebration of the Dance Education Laboratory’s 30th Anniversary — an evening honoring three decades of transforming dance education.
The celebration begins with a special performance featuring the world premiere of a new work created by participants in a DEL Movement Sentence Choir, led by renowned choreographer Ephrat Asherie and DEL Facilitator Taryn Vander Hoop. The evening continues with performances, reflections, and appearances by DEL’s visionary leaders, faculty, and esteemed guests, including educators, dance companies, and community leaders.
Together, we’ll celebrate DEL Founder, Jody Gottfried Arnhold, and her enduring call to action — there is no dance without dance education — and the profound impact of DEL’s community of educators in realizing the vision of Dance for Every Child.
The evening also marks the launch of DEL’s new book, Art at the Heart of Teaching: Jody’s 30 Timeless Lesson Plans, created by Jody Gottfried Arnhold with Ann Biddle for the 92nd Street Y, New York Dance Education Laboratory (DEL).
After the performance, continue the celebration at a reception in the Weill Art Gallery, featuring a live DJ, refreshments, signed copies of DEL’s new book for sale, and opportunities to connect with fellow educators, advocates, artists, and friends of DEL.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
