Teachers College, Columbia University, Medal for Distinguished Service
We are thrilled to announce that Jody has been honored at the Teachers College, Columbia University 2024 Convocation!
She received the College’s highest honor, the Medal for Distinguished Service, alongside celebrated luminaries in education, psychology, health, and art.
Jody’s founding and visionary support for the doctorate in Dance Education and the Arnhold Institute for Dance Education Research, Policy & Leadership at Teachers College has drastically furthered the discourse and thought leadership on dance education in public policy.

New Arnhold Studio Unveiling & Ribbon Cutting at 92NY
At the end of March, we unveiled the new Arnhold Studio at 92NY!
“Tonight, we open a new space that holds, within its walls, the legacy of the American modern dance experience. The next generation of dance makers, dancers, choreographers, educators, adults, and children will create their own history here. The arts are where we find meaning and make the world better. PS DANCE: THE NEXT GENERATION Screening at Lincoln Center
With ingenuity & commitment, EVERY school can be a dance school!
Last month, we had the honor of screening PS DANCE: THE NEXT GENERATION—a heartfelt documentary produced by Jody and created and directed by filmmaker Nel Shelby—at Lincoln Center!
The film follows Ann Biddle, DEL Professional Learning and Curriculum Senior Consultant, and her students, showcasing how dance builds confidence, teaches responsibility, and ignites passion.
