Alycia M. Perrin

Alycia M. Perrin, born in New York of Cuban and Jamaican descent, began her foray into dance with a strong ballet base. Her training with Eglevsky Ballet (Long Island, NY) has afforded her a great platform in the world of dance. She continued her studies at the famed Martha Graham Conservatory and transitioned to the Dance Theater of Harlem.  Her professional dance experience ignited her desire to complete her education. She earned a BFA in Dance and is currently an Educator for the City of New York’s Department of Education (NYC DOE). She is currently finalizing her Masters in Dance Education, at NYU. Perrin has danced in companies such as Philadanco and Forces of Nature.  Some of her work can be seen on The CW network’s Shedding for the Wedding.  She went on to host a segment on cable network FUEL T.V.  She has been a featured performer on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” Disney’s T.V. show “That’s So Raven,” and Fitness Video “Booty Slide” with Rebecca Kordecki.  She went on to choreograph for recording artist, Kirk Franklin, for the BET Network’s “Gospel Celebration.” She continued to perform as a featured dancer, touring with international recording artist, Anastasia, The Broadway National Tour of “SWING,” and as a performer at Tokyo Disney.

She is currently a New York City Department of Education Teacher for a District 75 school.

Perrin’s dance background consists of Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Salsa, Latin Jazz, Partnering, House, Samba, Afro-Cuban, Zumba Fitness and Pole Fitness. She is also an accomplished aerialist, specializing in Hammock and Ring. Perrin is continuously exploring new ways to love her craft; in short, she is always searching for new ways to grow.
