Congratulations to our DEL Institute 2022-23 Cohort!
We are so excited to celebrate this accomplished cohort.
It is an honor to celebrate our DEL Institute – Teacher Certificate Program 2022-23 graduates.
They completed over 200 hours of asynchronous course work following a comprehensive curriculum grounded in the DEL model.
We honored them with a virtual graduation event, during which we shared these inspiring congratulatory words from DEL Founder, Jody Gottfried Arnhold:
“Congratulations! You are the second cohort of the DEL Institute – Teacher Certificate Program.
All of us at DEL 92NY are so proud of you for all of your work in this rigorous sequence of coursework. It has been a thrill to hear about your individual and collective journeys throughout the DEL Institute. You are now part of DEL 92NY history!
Please know you will always be a part of our DEL community. You are the future of dance education. You join a passionate network of dance educators whose mission and dream is Dance For Every Child. Imagine what the culture would be if every child had a dance education. Go forth, be brilliant, and have a great time.”
The culminating experience of the DEL Institute – Teacher Certificate Program was a teaching practicum, which included teaching an original dance unit designed in the Inspiration to Design curriculum and lesson planning course.
Each student was paired with a DEL Mentor during the practicum to support them in teaching their dance unit.
At the DEL Institute graduation event, participants presented overviews of their final project and shared key takeaways from their experience in the program. The depth and breadth of these projects were inspiring and demonstrated the diverse and innovative ways our students were able to apply the DEL model to their own teaching contexts. These projects are clear evidence of the tremendous professional growth experienced by the DEL Institute participants this year!
