About the Arnhold Summer Fellows Program
Making 92NY their summer home!
We’re so excited to have had our 2024 Arnhold Summer Fellows here in New York City!
92NY is the historic home of modern dance in America. Here, dance pioneers Martha Graham, Charles Weidman, Doris Humphrey, Katherine Dunham, José Limón, Pearl Primus, Alvin Ailey and many others performed and found their first dance home.
Now, the Arnhold Summer Fellows have made 92NY their summer home.
This year’s Fellows come from colleges and universities all over the country, including:
- University of Maryland
- University of Texas at Austin
- University of Wisconsin-Madison
- Washington University in St. Louis
- University of California, Santa Barbara
- Loyola Marymount University
- Vassar College
- University of Massachusetts, Amherst
- Rutgers University
- Hunter College
- New York University
- Montclair State University

The Fellows participated in the DEL Summer Intensive, which includes DEL Essentials, DEL Dance for Early Childhood, and DEL Dance to Belong: An Embodied Dance History of 92NY, as well as events including a DEL Movement Sentence Choir!
The Arnhold Summer Fellowship program is made possible by generous support from the Arnhold Foundation, and supports student’s DEL course registration, housing, and travel, as well as access to take dance classes and see a performance in NYC!
